Magnificent Migrations in Mexico<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Between October and March, two incredible wildlife events occur in Mexico. In late October, millions of monarch butterflies start their 3,000 mile migration from the northern US and Canada to southwestern Mexico. Fir trees in the Angangueo Butterfly Sanctuary droop with the weight of thousands of butterflies, which can be seen from horseback while riding through the forest. At the same time, hundreds of whale sharks return to the warm waters of La Paz Bay in Baja California to feed, where travellers can snorkel with these beautiful, gentle creatures.
