Rob helped start fundraising for 2 year old Mollie, the daughter of a friend of his when she was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma 2 years ago. It\u2019s a rare type of cancer which at the time of diagnosis left her with a 20% chance of survival. Rob said: \u2018We were a bunch of middle aged, lapsed DJs who had started a Twitch channel to solve the boredom of lockdown. We decided to try and use the platform to raise funds for Mollie, to help her with life saving treatment in the US. What happened next is quite frankly unbelievable\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fast forward 2 years and she is showing the cancer who’s boss! She is now cancer free, and her chances of survival now increased to 80%. She has undergone and continues to undergo treatment in the US to try and keep the cancer away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018The support the first Mix4Mollie event got was so far beyond our expectations, that we went on to raise \u00a311K. We went again for the second year and raised \u00a312K! \u00a323K raised from what is essentially a bunch of amateur DJs using their hobby to try and do some good in the world\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The current total raised over this weekend is \u00a35,241, which in light of the current financial struggles, and cost of living increases in the world is absolutely astonishing. Rob said: \u2018We are so proud of this, and so very grateful for everyone who has joined us, danced, laughed and donated over the weekend. The money raised will go to the families of the kids fighting this awful cancer. Just know you have made a massive difference!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018That\u2019s over \u00a328K raised so far across the 3 events. I\u2019m sure we\u2019ll do it again next year!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
